Entries to the PLJ Gallery

FRESH ART FOR FRESH HOMES

Entries to The PLJ Gallery “pop-up” Exhibition are now invited.

If you would like a chance to see your work displayed in the heart of Great Malvern, this is the place to get started.

The Exhibition takes place at the offices of Philip Laney & Jolly on Worcester Road, Great Malvern, on two Saturdays of each month, from 10.00 until 4.00

The theme is “fresh art for fresh homes” and the Exhibition is open to “early” Exhibitors.

4 Exhibitors can display each Saturday

There are 4 panels, one for each Exhibitor, hanging up to 3 paintings each depending on the size of the paintings.

Hangers are provided, with adjustable hooks to hang each picture on.

On Exhibition Saturdays, Exhibitors are free to attend and discuss their works with viewers during the day.

 

ENTRY PROCESS

First. email PLJGallery@email-365.co.uk and request an Entry Form

Complete the form and email your completed Entry form back to PLJGallery@email-365.co.uk

Please do not send in paper copies – the Gallery has no storage facilities, and we need to access the links to your to your Works of Art electronically.

You can enter up to 3 works, depending on size. There is no fee for exhibiting.

Each Display panel area is 878 mm wide and 2025 mm high (about the size of a door).

Hangers and bumpers are provided.

Help will be provided with making QR code links and title labels etc (and price labels if you want to sell your work).

Everything is digital so no paper please.

 

SELECTION

The selection is made from digital images of artworks, from which the panel selects Works which in their opinion fit the selection criteria, as set out below:

Abstract, Semi-abstract, Contemporary or Decorative Works of Art

Paintings presented and framed to a high standard ready for hanging in a fresh home

·      If your Work is selected we will notify you by email and ask you to arrange to come in to meet us on a “Preparation” Saturday and bring in your artwork.

We are not in a position to answer individual enquiries relating to progress of entries.

 

PREPARATION SATURDAYS

Selected Exhibitors are invited in to discuss arrangements on “Preparation” Saturdays, held on two Saturdays of each month.

As well as a trial hang that day, help can then be given on such things as lamination of labels, generation of QR codes, and professional quality wrapping. Velcro label stickers are provided.

Exhibitors will be able to laminate a label showing the Title of the Work, and their name and the price (if sellimg).

They may also may like to consider laminating other labels to display next to their Work of art such as:

·        A QR code linking to their Artist's Profile.

·        A QR code linking to a description or “story” about the painting.

 

EXHIBITION SATURDAYS

Exhibitors are expected to arrive around 9.30 and hang their paintings and Velcro up their labels.

Packaging cannot be stored on the premises and must be removed

Exhibitors are expected to remove their Works at 4.00 pm.

 

The staff of Philip Laney & Jolly have kindly agreed to temporarily work from the back and upstairs offices on Saturdays, so that Estate Agency, Lettings and Block Management will be open as normal. Saturday is the most popular day for viewings to take place, so they are mostly out of the office that day anyway.

Philip Laney & Jolly and the PLJ Gallery will take no responsibility relating to Works of Art or their exhibition.
